    Temple Sinai will host Cantor’s Cafe 2015 – FolkFest!, 8pm Saturday, February 21, at 1401 N. Limekiln Pike. Cantor Stephen Freedman will perform the folk music of Peter, Paul and Mary; Judy Collins; Simon and Garfunkel; Woody Guthrie; John Denver, Carole King; Pete Seeger; and James Taylor, and more, in an intimate coffehouse setting. Wear your love beads, bell-bottom pants and peasant skirts, enjoy the atmosphere of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s, and sing along with lyrics projected on a screen.     Accomplished Philadelphia Singer-Songwriter, Joshua Thomas will headline this year’s Music Out Loud Concert this Saturday night, March 7th, 7:30 pm, at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Media. Special guest, KOSI will open the concert.

    Joshua Thomas began his performing career in New York before settling in Philadelphia in 2009. In the summer of 2010 he released his first EP, his first full-length album in 2012, and his latest EP – The Harboring – in September 2014. His latest work has been called “inspiring and heart-wrenching” by Philadelphia Magazine and WXPN called the record “beautifully composed.” (Joshua was recently featured in XPN’s Joni Mitchell Tribute concert.)

    KOSI (Kosi neé Akosua Gyebi) is a New York City based singer/songwriter, part purest, part drama queen. With a voice that can silence a room, she switches styles more quickly than you can follow, from jazz, to rock, then folk, but never more than a few steps away from the blues.

    The Unitarian Universalist Church of Delaware County is proud to host local and national artist in a welcoming suburban venue. ALL AGES!
