Feb. 23: “LeBruce” Beer Release, Iron Hill Brewery, North Wales, Ardmore, Chestnut Hill & Maple Shade
In memory of Iron Hill’s server, Terrell Bruce, several locations of Iron Hill will be releasing “LeBruce,“ a beer he created with help from their brew team a few years ago. Taps will open at 5 p.m. Iron Hill will donate $1 per pint purchased directly to the Terrell L. Bruce Memorial Fund at each participating location during the night of the event.
Feb. 25: Bierfest, Northern Liberties, Philadelphia
The German Society of Pennsylvania hosts a celebration of Pennsylvania’s brewing heritage. Taste beer from local breweries like Stoudts, Victory, Sly Fox and many more that represent the richness of our region’s history of German immigration. Tickets (VIP Plus – $78 + $4.90 fee; VIP $65 + $4.25 feee, General Admission – $48 + $3.40) are available online; new in 2017 is the cheese and cider bar.
Feb. 25: Girl Scout Cookie Pairing Mult-tap, Iron Hill Brewery, Newark
In celebration of National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend, from 1 to 4 p.m. Iron Hill Newark will be teaming up with the Girl Scouts for a sampler featuring 8 Iron Hill beers and 8 Girl Scout cookies. Have you tried the new S’mores cookie? Try it paired with Iron Hill’s “Dr. Chockenstein!”
Feb. 25: “Glove Dropper Blood Orange IPA” Release, Sly Fox, Phoenixville and Pottstown
From 8 to 11 p.m., Sly Fox will introduce “Glove Dropper Blood Orange IPA,” a “confrontation brew” with Rivertowne Brewing from Export, PA outside of Pittsburgh in time for the NHL Stadium Series game between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Pittsburgh Penguins, according to www.slyfoxbeer.com. Patrons are invited to wear Flyers or Penguins gear for special offers.
Feb. 25: Polar Beer Plunge Multi-Tap, Iron Hill Brewery, Media
In conjunction with the Pennsylvania Special Olympics Polar Bear Plunge, from 5 to 9 p.m. Iron Hill Media will host an outdoor patio party celebrating the release of “The Polar Bear” golden stout and 7 other big beers. On tap: “The Polar Bear,” “Coffee Russian Imperial Stout,” “Wee Heavy,” “Maximus,” “The Quadfather,” “Bruce Camp Ale,” “Bourbon Russian Imperial Stout,” and “Brett Tawny Old Ale.” King of the Hill Club members get to try a special firkin of “The Polar Bear” at 6 p.m.
