Jan. 13: Sly Fox Route 113 IPA Day, Sly Fox, Phoenixville and Pottstown
In honor of their “Route 113 IPA,” Sly Fox has designated Jan. 13 as “Rte 113 IPA Day.” A firkin of “Route 113 IPA” will be tapped at 1:13 p.m. at both locations, and 10 oz. pours of the brew will cost $1.13.
Jan. 17: Meet & Greet Winter Beer Dinner, Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant, Ardmore
From 6:30 to 9 p.m., enjoy a five-course beer dinner from Head Chef Brittany Jones paired with beers from Head Brewer Jaret Salvat-Rivera. The full menu is available online and includes Char-Grilled Venison and Wild Boar Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus. The meal is $75 per person, including gratuity; reservations are required, call (610) 228-2280.
Jan. 17: The Brewing Give Back Fest, World Cafe Live, Philadelphia
World Cafe Live is hosting a beer festival in support of Philabundance and Operation Warm. From 6 to 9 p.m., 30 breweries will be serving samples of their beer; light snacks and live music will be on hand. The breweries donated their beer to the event, so all proceeds go directly to both organizations. Tickets ($30 + $2.05 fee) are available online.
Jan. 21: Winterfest, The Horse Tavern & Grille, Sellersville
The Horse Tavern is holding its annual indoor Winterfest from 2 to 5 p.m. Some 50 beers, 25 breweries and 25 bar taps will be pouring inside with a fire to keep you warm. Tickets ($50 + $3.75 fee) are available online.
Jan. 21: Robert Burns Night, Sly Fox Brewhouse & Eatery, Phoenixville
Sly Fox celebrates the life and works of Scotland’s national poet with its “Gang Aft Agley Scotch Ale” and “Burns Scottish Ale,” as well as bagpipes, Haggis, and a reading of Burns’ “Ode to a Haggis.” From 5:30 to 10 p.m., come dressed in your best Scottish garb — prizes for the best men’s and women’s outfits, and free pints for anyone who wears a kilt.
Jan. 21: Smoke & Oak Multi-tap, Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant, North Wales
From 1 to 5 p.m., enjoy 6 barrel-aged beers and a special menu of smoke inspired dishes. The beers available will be: “La Flama Blanca,” “Barrel-aged Cherry Dubbel,” “Barrel-aged Biere de Mars,” “Barrel-aged Blame The Dog,” “Bourbon Russian Imperial Stout,” and “Bourbon Overload Stout.” King of the Hill Club members will receive Iron Hill’s house-made smoked jerky.
