Foodies rejoice! Here’s our weekly selection of the latest menu updates, dining and tasting events from chefs and restaurants across the Philadelphia region.

Thanksgiving to go at Restaurant Alba in Malvern

unnamed-3Restaurant Alba wants to help its customers with Thanksgiving by offering side dishes to go, according to a press release from the restaurant. The restaurant is offering some of its favorite side-dishes including: Brussels Sprouts with Maple and Pancetta, Truffled Mash Potatoes or Bread Pudding with Duck Confit and Cherries and many more. The restaurant is also hosting a Restorative Nutrition event on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 1 p.m. According to the release, Dr. Tim Turner and Homesteader Ashley Turner will explore the health and nutritional benefits of Bone Broths. Azie in Media announces new autumn menu

azie-media-fall-dishes-0703Azie recently announced its new autumn menu in a press release, which Chef Kazuyuki “Kaz” Mitsui — known for his seasonal and creative dishes — has created. According to the release, autumn specials include:

Octopus Ceviche octopus, tomato, avocado, and citrus in a yuzu ceviche sauce ($13);
Tempura Fried Wild Halibut thai coconut milk curry over brown rice cake, with shrimp and fried leeks ($25);
Braised Grass Fed Short Ribs truffle mashed potatoes, wild maitake mushrooms, and blue cheese ($26);
Herbed Smoked New Zealand Lamb yucca potatoes and crispy wild local mushrooms with a chardonnay gruyere cheese sauce ($36).

Culinary Art Institute of Montgomery County Community College to host open house

The Culinary Art Institute of Montgomery County Community College is hosting an open house on Saturday, Nov. 12, at its campus in Lansdale. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and guests will have the opportunity to tour the facility, meet the faculty, learn about the school’s flexible programs and ways to pay for college. The campus is located at 1400 Forty Foot Road, Lansdale.
