Award winning standup comedian, Michael Jr. is Bringin’ The Funny Comedy Tour to Harleysville on Oct. 16. He performs at 7 p.m. at  LCBC Church Branch Creek, 100 Main St., Harleysville. General admission is $20. Call 215-256-0100

Michael was recently in the critically acclaimed movie “War Room,” has a new CD, Breaktime, to be released on Oct. 18, and is a passionate humanitarian.

Michael will be presented the prestigious Grady Nutt Humor Award at the GMA Dove Awards on Oct. 11 in Nashville.

Michael Jr. tours the country performing and can also be seen on TV regularly. Michael recently appeared in Sony Pictures’ feature film War Room.

His television appearances include The Tonight ShowThe Late, Late Show, Oprah, Jimmy Kimmel Live Comedy Central, The Tom Joyner Show, The Bob and Tom Show TV One, Bryon Allen’s Comic Unleashed, BET’s ComicView, CNN, and ComedyTV.

You’ll also find him atcomedy clubs across the nation, including The Improv, The Laugh Factory, The Comedy Store, The Punchline, The Comic Strip, and Zanies Comedy Club.

Working alongside comedians such as Jerry Seinfeld, Brad Garrett, and George Lopez, Michael Jr.’s comedy resonates with authenticity and humility. That coupled with his unique delivery makes Michael have national crossover appeal giving him a platform on both church and comedy club stages.  Michael calls it comedy accountability. “If I’m in a club, my material has to be clean enough to work in a church. If I’m in a pulpit, it has to be funny enough to work in a club.”

Although Michael’s passion is comedy, he also has written a children’s book, The Parts We Play.
