Sept. 30: Mid-Atlantic Brewers’ Symposium & Octoberfest, Steel Stacks, Bethlehem
In conjunction with their Octoberfest event, the Brewers of Pennsylvania will host the second annual Mid-Atlantic Brewers’ Symposium. It will feature a keynote address from Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) Chairman, Tim Holden and 10 educational seminars from leaders of the craft brewing industry. View the full schedule of events on the website. Admission for current Brewers of Pennsylvania members is free; a “homebrewers” admission is $99.
Sept. 30: “Fall into Autumn” Multi-tap, Iron Hill Brewery, North Wales
Beginning at 5 p.m., celebrate the arrival of Fall with Iron Hill North Wales. Four pumpkin beers and 4 German style beers will be on tap to celebrate the changing of the seasons. Come out and enjoy their Pumpkin Ale, Barrel-aged “Ichabod” – an Imperial Belgian Pumpkin Ale, Pure Evil Pumpkin Porter, Imperial Pumpkin Ale, Oktoberfest, Hefeweizen, Big German IPA, and Schwarzbier.
Oct. 1: Craft Beer Campout, Paradise Farm Camps, Downingtown
The Craft Beer Campout, an outdoor event with BBQ, craft beer, live music and camping, is described as “the flagship event for autism awareness in Chester County.” According to the website, “every dollar raised (after expenses) is donated to Autism Speaks Philadelphia to support advocacy, research and community events.” Call (610) 269-9111 for tickets ($30 for adults, children are free – but a $10 donation is suggested), which includes entry, craft beer, souvenir pint glass, BBQ, and camping.
Oct. 1: “Brewhouse of Horrors” Multi-tap, Iron Hill Brewery, Media
From 1 to 5 p.m., Iron Hill Media will have 8 different pumpkin beers on tap, and 2 giant bottles of their “Ichabod”; an Imperial Belgian Pumpkin Ale will be poured at 2 and 4 p.m. The pumpkin beers that will be offered on tap: Ichabod Imperial Belgian Pumpkin Ale, Charlie Pumpkin Brown Ale, Gourdzilla IPA, Punktoberfest, Pumpkin Ale, and Pumpkin Weisse. King of the Hill Club members will have access to the beer an hour earlier at noon.
Oct. 4: Painting on Pints, Victory Brewing Company’s Kennett Square Brewpub
Come out to Victory’s Kennett Square Brewpub at 6:30 p.m. for an evening of painting pint glasses — and drinking Victory brews. Start the night off with a food and beer pairing followed by a 2-hour class presented by Untapped Artistry where guests will have the choice of designing and painting their own pint glasses. Tickets ($40) include food, beer and the painting class. Purchase them online.
Oct. 6: Zoo & Cue, Normandy Farm, Whitpain
From 6 to 9 p.m., the zoo meets the farm when Norristown’s Elmwood Park Zoo brings some of its residents to Normandy Farm during a southern BBQ and all you can drink brews from North Penn’s Prism Brewing Co. General admission tickets ($54.95) are still available but going fast! Purchase them online.
