The Elmwood Park Zoo is getting into the Pokémon spirit and will be hosting an event for area Pokémon trainers on Tuesday, July 19.

According the zoo’s website, there are more than 10 PokéStops and two gyms located at the zoo. For avid “Pokémon Go” players, that means it’s a great spot to reload on Pokéballs, catch more Pokémon, become a gym leader and log kilometers to hatch eggs. The event will be held from noon to 4:30 p.m. and the zoo is offering half off any regular admission if you show the “Pokémon Go” app at the ticket window.

To make the zoo even more of a hotbed for Pokémon lurking the area, the zoo will be dropping modules at each of their PokéStops throughout the event to lure Pokémon. The trainer that logs the highest CP rated Pokémon caught at the zoo that day will win a four-pack of giraffe feeding tickets. The winner will be announced at 4:30 p.m.

During the event, the zoo will also be offering individual memberships for half price and 40 percent of a plush in their Nature Shop.
