INFORMATION SUBMITTED TO TICKET
Bring your swimsuit and old shoes because wet is the theme for Saturday, July 9 at the Colonial Plantation. Pirates will attack the house and take over for the day. Youngsters will be encouraged to run the gauntlet as pirates with water attack them. There will be foot races, rubber ducky races in the creek and other games for children. The pirates will attack at 12:30 and control the farm until the local militia repulses them at 3:30. Bring the family and enjoy old fashion fun that has nothing to do with technology just nature, water, and your imagination.
The Plantation’s hours are 12 to 4. Admission is $8 for adults, $8 for children ages 4 to 12. Children under age 4 are free. Refreshments and souvenirs may also be purchased. The Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation is an independent non-profit 18th century living history farm museum located within Ridley Creek State Park. It is most easily reached via the park’s Route 3 entrance just west of Newtown Square. Visit www.colonialplantation.org to learn more about this and other events.
