Haverford’s Concert in the Park Summer Series kicks off Saturday, June 11 at 6 to 9 p.m. in Llanerch Park, located at Darby and Moewyn Road in Havertown. John Flynn will be performing an acoustic concert. Dave Patten and The Havertones will also be performing. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 each and children 12 and under are free. Concessions will be available or you can bring your own refreshments. Please bring your own lawn chairs and blankets. Haverford Township Parks are alcohol-free. Haverford Township Heritage Festival: The 10th annual festival is held 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 5 along Karakung Drive in Havertown. The festival features living history exhibits, live music and dancing, food and a beer garden. See www.haverfordhistoricalsociety.org/events.
Chester County Pride Fest: Events are set for June 4-5, welcoming lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer community members, as well as allies, from across the area in a celebration of diversity and progress. The weekend will kick off noon to 5 p.m. June 4 at Reeves Park in Phoenixville with a Pride Festival. During evening hours will be various post-pride parties along Bridge Street.
