PHILADELPHIA – (March 16th, 2016) – The Philadelphia Travel and Adventure Show, part of the nation’s largest series of travel shows, will be returning to the Pennsylvania Convention Center on Saturday, March 19th and Sunday, March 20th for its second year.

Hundreds of destination experts from every corner of the world including Costa Rica, Portugal, Australia, Italy, Hawaii, Scotland, the Florida Keys, and Alaska will help attendees plan and customize their next vacation. Attendees will also be able to participate in hands-on adventures by scaling the show’s rock climbing wall, adventuring on a camel ride or trying out a Segway.

In addition to the hundreds of exhibitors, many of whom will be offering exclusive show-only specials, the show features celebrity travel experts Samantha Brown, Travel Channel Host, Peter Greenberg, CBS News travel editor, Wendy Perrin, TripAdvisor’s first ever Travel Advocate, and editor-in-chief of WendyPerrin.com, and Patricia Schultz, author of The New York Times bestseller, “1,000 Places to See Before You Die.”

“We are excited to be returning to Philadelphia for the second year in a row. Last year’s event was such an overwhelming success with thousands of travel enthusiasts in attendance,” said John Golicz, chief executive officer, Unicomm. “This is the largest Travel Show in the Philadelphia area and it’s a great tool to help travelers find where to go, what to do and how to get there by connecting with the world’s leading destination experts.”

Travel Theaters Include:

  • Travel Theater, featuring our keynote speakers Samantha Brown, Peter Greenberg, Patricia Schultz and Wendy Perrin
  • Taste of Travel Theater, offering a range of local and international culinary experiences.
  • Savvy Traveler Theater, where visitors can learn tips and tricks on how to travel smarter and with less hassle.
  • Destination Theater featuring locale-specific sessions conducted by travel destinations such as Alaska and the Bahamas.
  • Global Beats Stage where attendees will see culturally diverse dance and music performances, camel rides and a Segway experience.

“People flock to our events because they know that travel information on the Internet is often jaded and while guide books contain great information, it’s not often personalized.  At the Travel & Adventure Show they get first-hand knowledge from people who are either from the travel destination or have traveled extensively in the region,” said Golicz.

Sponsors of the 2016 Philadelphia Travel & Adventure Show include 1000TravelTips.com and Official Travel Agency Partner – Liberty Travel who has expanded their presence to bring in multiple partners; many of whom will be contributing great content on the Destination Stage. Visitors will also find that Liberty will have special offers just for Travel & Adventure Show visitors.
