The following is a sampling of beer related events happening in the region:
March 19: The Great Allentown Brew Works Cask Festival at Fegley’s Brew Works, Allentown.
Once again Fegley’s Brew Works hosts this festival serving 32+ exclusive, one-of-a-kind, cask creations and craft beer from more than a dozen craft breweries. Tickets include Celtic entertainment and St. Patrick’s Day inspired food buffet. Browse beer-centric vendor tables and enjoy the Puttle Championships. A VIP hour begins at 3 p.m., and doors open for General Admission at 4 p.m. until close at 7. Buy your tickets on the Brew Works website, thebrewworks.com.
March 21: Hudson Stout Beer Release at Iron Hill Brewery, Media
At 5 p.m., Iron Hill Brewing Company in Media will release its Hudson Stout — a robust oatmeal stout aged on vanilla beans and fresh roasted coffee from Burlap and Bean Coffee in Newtown Square. Don’t miss this one! Check www.ironhillbrewery.com.
March 22: Kevin Boylan Art Show at Victory Brewing Kennett Square Brewpub
If you’ve visited Victory’s brewpubs, then you might be familiar with Kevin Boylan’s murals, including one that was finished last year in the Downingtown brewpub. Victory has invited Kevin to showcase 2 of his collections —“Landscapes of Pennsylvania” and “Seasons in Pennsylvania” — for one night only at the Kennett Square brewpub from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. No tickets necessary — stop by for a pint and enjoy his work!

March 23: Fox Trot 5K Group Run & Registration Night at the Sly Fox Pottstown Brewery & Tastin’ Room.
In preparation for the Sly Fox Fox Trot 5K (May 21) and the Schuylkill River 50K Relay (April 23), runners are invited to join in a 3-mile group run around the Pottstown Brewery and Tastin’ Room neighborhood. After the run, Sly Fox will offer discounted registrations for the Fox Trot and Schyulkill Relay in the Tastin’ Room — and will have its usual Wednesday night specials.

March 24: Meeting of the Malts V at Artsquest Center at Steelstacks, Bethlehem.
For the fifth year, Pennsylvania’s brewers will come together to share dinner and thoughts on the craft beer industry. The evening will begin with the “Pennsylvania Brewpub Festival” from 5:30 – 7 p.m. showcasing Pennsylvania brewpubs. The Meeting of the Malts 5 course beer pairing dinner will begin at 7:15, featuring — for the first time on stage together — a panel discussion with Dick Yuengling of D.G. Yuengling & Sons, Jim Koch of Sam Adams / Boston Beer Company, and Ken Grossman, founder of Sierra Nevada Brewing Company. After the dinner, The Prohibition Party, from 10:15 p.m. – midnight, lets you enjoy beers with the brewers.

March 25: Batman vs. Superman Beer Release at Iron Hill Brewery, North Wales
To celebrate the opening of the new Batman vs. Superman movie, Iron Hill North Wales will be releasing 2 beers — “Superbier,” a Belgian-style tripel brewed with Pilsner malt and a traditional strain of yeast that provides flavors of pear, banana, and spice, and “Grand Inquisitor,” a Russian Imperial Stout aged in bourbon barrels with whole vanilla beans. From 5 – 7 p.m., you are invited to dress to show your support and the best costume will win tickets to the movie. Check www.ironhillbrewery.com.
