After the success of last year’s inaugural Live From The Lot, Ardmore Music Hall is bringing back their annual outdoor music festival on a larger scale for “AMH Presents and WXPN Welcomes: Live From The Lot 2016” May 21-22. It will feature Grammy Award-winning jazz-fusion band Snarky Puppy (playing both days), New Orleans rock and soul band The Revivalists, funk fusion pioneers The Greyboy Allstars featuring Karl Denson, Foundation of Funk (members of The Meters and Lettuce), and other artists.
On Saturday and Sunday, Live from the Lot will begin at 1 p.m. in the parking lot directly behind the AMH, and feature two outdoor covered stages highlighting both national and regional talent. Tickets are available for a weekend pass, or can be purchased for each of the two days individually.
Also set to perform are piano virtuoso Marco Benevento and Brooklyn electro-funksters Pimps of Joytime.
A kickoff party is held May 20, and there will be after-parties inside Ardmore Music Hall on the 21st and 22nd.
On Friday May 20, Electron will headline the kickoff party for Live from the Lot. They’re a “livetronica” rock group comprised of Marc Brownstein and Aron Magner (The Disco Biscuits), Tom Hamilton (American Babies/JRAD) and Mike Greenfield (Lotus). Saturday night May 21, Everyone Orchestra, conducted by Matt Butler, will headline the after-party inside Ardmore Music Hall and will feature a lineup performing improvisational, crowd-engaging jam. There will be another party inside on Sunday night May 22nd, with details to be announced.
Live from the Lot is intended for all ages, with local food vendors, a beer tent and other entertainment.
Tickets go on sale at noon March 2, with both general admission and VIP options available.
