A staggering 300+ craft beers are waiting to be tapped Jan. 15 and 16 for the second annual Big Philly Beerfest.
Being held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, in Center City Philadelphia at 1101 Arch St., the festival will span 250,000 square feet.
Doors open at 8 p.m. both nights, and your $55 ticket ($45 in advance) gets you a five-ounce souvenir mug. Last call is 11 p.m., and the hall will be cleared at 11:30.
Those special tickets that get you in an hour earlier at 7 p.m. are $65, $55 in advance.
Connoisseur Reception tickets, sold in advance only, are $75. Those ticket-holders will have a special entrance, and a reception area with appetizer bites from local restaurants paired with a rare/super premium beer from 7 to 9 p.m. Connoisseurs can come and go as they please.
The ever-important Designated Drivers, who will be supplied with water and soft drinks, must buy their tickets in advance. They’re $20, or $35 for DDs of those participating in the Connoisseur Reception.
Event proceeds go to Animal Rescue Partners, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting numerous animal rescues, pet adoption groups and community spay/neuter programs in the Philadelphia area and beyond.
