If you’re a Foodie, Phoenixville is the place to be starting Saturday when the Phoenixville Food Festival begins at noon. Phoenixville First, the local organization of town leaders, has put together a food event that will include a Food Truck Festival on Saturday, Oct. 3, followed by a restaurant week Sunday through Thursday, Oct. 4 through Oct. 8.
Also on Oct. 3, the 100 and 200 blocks of Bridge Street will be closed to traffic, as well as Main Street between Church and Price streets.
There will be free parking in Borough lots, musical acts, as well as a vendor area.
The Food Truck Festival runs from noon to 6 p.m. Food trucks and vendors will line up and face into the street. Many restaurants will also participate with great food items, and beer gardens.
There will be 35 food trucks, with seating in the grass lot between Customers Bank and Buhos Latin Fusion, as well as additional seating at Stable 12 Brewing Co., and a beer garden. There will be great live music throughout the event.
Phoenixville First will also be sponsoring short films for the family at the Colonial Theatre, and running a shuttle bus from Schuylkill Elementary and the University of Valley Forge.
