Smile, Montgomery County 4-H Fair takes over the weekend in Skippack

Montgomery County 4-H Fair: The fair runs 4 to 9:30 p.m. Aug. 6, 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Aug. 7 and 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 8 at the Montgomery County 4-H Center, 1015 Bridge Road, Skippack Township. The fair is the culmination of the 4-H project year for Montgomery County 4-H members to showcase their achievements in livestock, animal science and the other various 4-H clubs. The Creamery Crafters 4-H club will hold their Giant Fabric Sale. Other highlights include displays of 4-H projects, demonstrations, contests, games, music (The Daisy Jug Band is scheduled for Friday night), an Open Baking Contest, an Open Pet Show and food (including the “World’s Largest Sausage Patty”). The public is also encouraged to enter their projects into the Open Classes categories, such as gardening, sewing, cooking, crafts, art, photography and more. The Open Classes are for all ages.
