Free Latin Roots Live! event set for July 12 in Philly

PHILADELPHIA — AfroTaino Productions announces the return of the annual NUEVOFEST concert on Sunday July 12, 2015 at the Trocadero, and its merger with the successful concert series, Latin Roots Live! presented by WXPN.

Now in its third year, the multi-artist concert showcase attracts diehard Latin alternative music fans from all over the Greater Philadelphia Region and Tri-state Delaware Valley, with a focus on celebrating the new sounds of Latin America. Previously unknown indie acts like torch singer Irene Diaz, goth-cumbia act La Minitk del Miedo, and Peruvian reggae & dub band Laguna Pai, to name a few, have all contributed to the growing momentum and success of NUEVOFEST.NUEVOFEST-2015-Posterv3

This year’s NUEVOFEST lineup delivers once again, with musical roots extending to Venezuela, Mexico, Dominican Republic and more. Bands scheduled to perform are Southern California-based art-core band iAPARATO!; El Salvador Ska band ADHESIVO; Latin Rock fusion band ZAKKE; ex-lead singer of Venezuelan rock band Viniloversus-turned-solo act RODRIGO SOLO; Rising Dominican rap duo AGUDOS CLEF; Monterrey, Mexico party starters MEXICAN DUBWISER; and the tropical bass beats of DJ PRECOLUMBIAN. Also, includes special guest appearances.
