Lyle Lovett added to Philadelphia Folk Festival lineup

On May 29, Lyle Lovett and His Large Band were announced as Saturday evening performers for the 54th annual Philadelphia Folk Festival,which will be held Aug. 13-16 on the Old Pool Farm in Upper Salford.

Also recently added to the lineup:  North Mississippi Allstars, Bruce Cockburn, The Lee Boys, Hoots & Hellmouth, Della Mae, Baskery, Tall Heights, Honey & Houston, Pesky J. Nixon, Andrea Nardello, John Beacher, Kuf Knotz and Psych-A-Billy.

“There will be more fabulous artists added in the coming weeks,” promised Jesse Lundy of Folk Fest talent booker Point Entertainment, in a press release.

Lindi Ortega and Low Cut Connie for the Thursday night camper’s-only-concert, hosted by WXPN/World Cafe’s  David Dye.

Selwyn Birchwood, Shakey Graves and Arlo Guthrie performing a 50th anniversary celebration of “Alice’s Restaurant” on Friday.

Philly Bloco, Matt Andersen, The HillBenders,  Madisen Ward and the Mama Bear, and WXPN’s Zydeco Crossroads showcase featuring Chubby Carrier and Steve Riley & the Mamou Playboys on Saturday.

Take advantage of advance ticket discounts. For now, individual daily tickets start at $49.50, or attend all three days for $148.50. Tent camping, which includes the exclusive campers concert on Thursday night, is $207.
