Beginning this weekend, the Museum at CHF  (Chemical Heritage Foundation) will be open on Saturdays and Sundays. Located at 315 Chestnut St., Philadelphia, the museum showcases  “permanent and changing exhibits that reveal chemistry’s untold stories, from alchemy to nanotechnology. Trace scientific progress in the laboratory, the factory, and the home, and learn how chemistry continues to shape the modern world.”

On display through Sept. 4 is  “Books of Secrets: Writing and Reading Alchemy, “an original exhibit that explores the books and manuscripts that sat beside alchemists’ flasks and fires.

Hours will be

MondayFriday: 10 a.m.–5 p.m.

First Friday of the month (March–December): 10 a.m.–8 p.m.

Saturdays (April–September):
10 a.m.–4 p.m.

Sundays (May–September):
Noon.–4 p.m.
