But before they start playing, there’s some intriguing openers to check out at 7 p.m. — The Doobie Decibels and a modern opera called The Beautiful Vision Project, which features The Manatees’ Will Hodgson and Randy Wagner and Shana Morrison, the daughter of Van Morrison. That’s the offspring of he who brought us “Brown Eyed Girl,” “Domino,” “Moondance,” “Tupelo Honey,” “Have I Told You Lately That I Love You,” “Into the Mystic” and other memorable songs.

Doors open at 6, cover is $15 and there will be  a cash bar.

Also, save these dates. May 16 it’s Rollin’ and Tumblin’, Mike Dugan and five-piece jam band Dugan Thomas. May 30 it’s a benefit for Last Chance Animal Rescue featuring Static Quo.

Stay tuned at the Rising Sun’s events page.
