Penn Museum hosts Egyptomania!

Penn Museum: It’s a celebration of all things Egyptian at an “Egyptomania!” World Culture Day 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 21. Highlights include crafts, a belly-dancing workshop, lectures about Egyptian history and archaeology, a chance to watch mummy conservation in action, and guided tours of the Egyptian galleries at the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, 3260 South St., Philadelphia.
Then, it’s a “Modern Native Voices: The Medium of Hip-Hop” symposium, starting at 3 p.m. It includes a concert at 8 p.m. by artists Def-I, Tall Paul, and Frank Waln.
These events are included with museum admission of $15, $13 for seniors 65+, $10 for children 6-17 and students, free to members, PennCard holders, active U.S. military and children 5 and younger. Call (215) 898-4000 or visit www.penn.museum.
