A frustrated reader named Beverly recently sent me an email passionately bemoaning the demise of “Glee.”
This season, she wrote, the writers and producers have “killed” a “once terrific” show by focusing too much on Jane Lynch’s “mean Sue” character and delivering too many “awful” storylines. Where has the magic gone, she wondered.
Oh, Beverly, I feel your pain and am in total agreement. “Glee” actually careened off the rails long before this season. And now that the show is set to bid farewell Friday night with a two-hour series finale, I’m sure many fans are more than ready to let it go.
