Aaron Freeman, formerly Gene Ween, brings Freeman to Ardmore Music Hall

Aaron Freeman, formerly Gene Ween, visits Ardmore Music Hall on Jan. 16 with his new band FREEMAN. Freeman disbanded Ween due to feeling artistically stagnant, and more importantly to get sober. He released his first-ever solo record, “Marvelous Clouds” (Partisan Records), an album of covers by poet/songwriter Rod McKuen in 2012. He then formed FREEMAN and the band released their eponymous debut (Partisan Records, 2014). Freeman openly writes about addiction, the process of getting sober and his spiritual quest on the album.  But Ween fans don’t lament. Freeman continues to write and perform interesting, offbeat music and will surely deliver the goods in his live performances.
