Pietro’s Pizzeria & Birreria debuts in Radnor

RADNOR, PA – Today, Nov. 18, brothers Pete and Nick Pashalis, along with Pete’s brother-in-law, John Lois, will debut Pietro’s Pizzeria & Birreria (236 North Radnor-Chester Road, 484-367-7072), a casually elegant indoor-outdoor restaurant and bar specializing in authentic, artisanal oven pizzas and craft beers.  Pietro’s Radnor is a third location for the restaurant group, joining two other locations in Center City, Philadelphia, and will be an inviting new addition to the town’s thriving dining scene.  Guests can expect some of their favorite dishes from the original Pietro’s, along with new, expanded menu offerings, all served in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

“We’re excited to prepare and serve delicious, affordable Italian fare to our loyal fans and friends and to welcome first-time guests at our beautiful new Pietro’s,” says Pete.  “Whether our guests are looking for a place to host a family dinner or a bar to visit with friends, we’ll welcome them with the same warmth – and of course, with great food and drink.”

Pietro’s menu will include:  Build-Your-Own Pizzas, starting with a classic margarita pie topped with crushed tomato sauce, hand-made mozzarella and basil, with topping options that range from fresh ricotta and crispy pancetta to roasted eggplant and sun-dried tomatoes; Artisanal Pizzas, such as the Tommy, topped with  Capicola ham, aged provolone cheese, crushed red hot peppers and tomato sauce, and the Ella, topped with baby kale, pine nuts, tomato sauce, spicy pesto and mozzarella;  Small Plates, such as Fried Smoked Mozzarellawith marinara dipping sauce, and Stuffed Meatballs, freshly ground beef and veal meatballs stuffed with smoked mozzarella and topped with marinara sauce;  Salads, such as theSiciliana, mixed greens with mozzarella, roasted peppers, olives, capers, anchovies, carrots, grape tomatoes and artichokes in house dressing, and Pietro’s Famous Ceasar, romaine lettuce with croutons and shaved parmesan cheese in their house-made Caesar dressing; Pastas, such as Fettucine Carbonara with red onions, cream, peas, mushrooms, parmesan cheese and pork pancetta, and Linguini Cielo with chicken breast and shrimp, sautéed with onions and garlic in a creamy tomato sauce;  and Classics, such as Chicken Parmesan served with spaghetti and Filet Medallions in balsamic cream sauce with mushrooms, fried onions and polenta parmesan.  There will also be a gluten-free Penne Pasta option.  Dishes will range in price from $8 to $28.

Pietro’s will serve a wide variety of domestic beers, on draught and in bottles, with a serious focus on the Philadelphia region’s craft beer scene.  The opening tap list will feature 16 beers, including local favorites, such as Yards Tavern Porter, Victory Dirtwolf, Troegs Java Stout and Flying Fish Red Fish, along with widely popular imports, such as Birra Peroni and Stella Artois.  Bottled beers will include:  Deschutes Inversion IPA, Allagash White, Rogue Dead Guy, Yuengling, Guinness, Corona Extra and Heineken.  Pietro’s will also feature a diverse list of white, red and sparkling wines, along with five signature craft cocktails, including The Main Line Spritzer, with Prosecco, Aperol and club soda.
