CONSHOHOCKEN —  August is when the most beautiful tomatoes are ready to crack and are exploding with flavor. And throughout August, is when Chef Michael Cappon of Isabella, located at 382 E. Elm St., will showcase the season’s freshest produce with his Totally Tomato Menu featuring locally sourced heirloom and roma tomatoes. Chef Cappon’s Totally Tomato Menu is a unique way to discover all that tomatoes can be and includes summer classics with a Mediterranean twist.   Isabella’s a la carte menu is also availableCall 484-532-7470 for information.
Chef Cappon has broadened the scope of the Spanish inspired menu by exploring more Mediterranean flavors. New dishes include Grilled Local Corn ($7) chili saffron creme and toasted shallots; Seared Scallops ($12) local creamed corn, chili dusted pistachios and crispy basil; Chicken Milanese ($19) hand breaded local chicken, with a melted fennel and tomato salad and organic faro;  Sautéed Shrimp & Scallop ($23) basil, lemon, fresh garlic, butter, fresh peas, wild mushrooms and house made chestnut linguini.
