Philadelphia Songwriters Project to select winners this weekend

The Philadelphia Songwriters Project, a non profit arts and education organization celebrating 11 years serving the region presents it’s 9th Annual Songwriting Contest Finals Show on Sunday May 18 at Underground Arts (12 & Callowhill streets, Philadelphia). Tickets are $15 Advance $18 at the door with discounts for students and Seniors. Doors 3:30 p.m.; show 4 p.m.

Eleven finalists will perform and four winners will be chosen by the audience and a panel of celebrity judges.


The Prize Package is a tour of some of the regions best festivals and venues (including The Philadelphia Folk Festival, Bethlehem Musik Fest, Wawa Welcomes America, Opening Slot at Sellersville Theater, Rose Tree Summer Festival, Penn Museum Summer Nights Music Series, and a tour within a tour playing summer events with Sponsor Whole Foods). One Grand Prize Winner will win a coveted slot at FireFly Music Festival in Dover, Delaware. Other prizes include consulting, music distribution with TUNECORE, and Recording with KettlePot Tracks.
