Join the naturalist for a stroll in the park. The emphasis of the walk will not be on mileage, but rather the use of our senses to see, hear, touch, and smell what spring has to offer.

Camouflaged Critters

Nature is jam-packed with creatures that are camouflaged. Take a walk with the naturalist to look for hidden animals, everything from insects to mammals. Play games and make a camouflage craft.

The spring migration of songbirds continues as we near the end of the season of passage. Past participants have seen various species of flycatchers, vireos, and breeding warblers. Bring binoculars if you have them.

Come to a family and canine event celebrating people, parks, and puppies. Meet Johnny Angel, the dog who is credited with saving the Farm Park from development. His true story is told in the award-winning book Bark! Bark! Bark for My Park! by veterinarian Jessica Dimuzio. Dr. Dimuzio will be on hand and “paw” to sell signed copies. There will be kid’s crafts and activities, dog competitions, demonstrations, and a parade of dogs. Dog rescue groups will be on hand with dogs for adoption. All pets must be on a leash.
