The Haverford Guild of Craftsmen will be holding its second Spring Fine Craft Show on Friday, May 2 from 12pm -9 pm, and Saturday, May 3 from 10 am -5 pm at Saint George’s Episcopal Church at 1 West Ardmore Avenue, at the intersection of Darby Road and Ardmore Avenue in Ardmore, PA.

Please join us for a reception with the artists, wine and light fare from 6-9PM Friday evening.

The Haverford Guild of Craftsmen is the fifteenth local chapter of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen, one of the oldest professional craft guilds in our country. Well known in Haverford Township for their Annual Holiday Studio Tour, and their booth at the Oakmont Farmer’s Market, this will be the second time the HGC members will be showing under one roof.

The Haverford Guild of Craftsmen embodies the spirit of founding members, Cathy Hetznecker and Rudy Miller, both of Havertown. Hetznecker and Miller’s vision was to create a community of professional artists and fine craftspeople, and to encourage and promote the practice of fine craft & art in Haverford Township. In August 2009, the HGC was chartered by twelve local artists and now boasts a membership of 90. The HGC provides fellowship and networking at monthly meetings and field trips, as well as sales opportunities in our community.

The Haverford Guild of Craftsmen Spring Show will showcase the work of 30 artists in media such as jewelry, leather, ceramics, glass, fiber, photography, copper, painting, wood, illustration and mixed media. Several of the artists will be demonstrating their craft throughout the day on Saturday. The Haverford Guild of Craftsmen Spring Show is the perfect opportunity to buy local and handmade for spring and summer events such as Mother’s Day, Graduations, end of the school year Teacher’s Gifts, Father’s Day and Weddings.

This is a free event, parking is plentiful, and St. George’s is handicapped accessible.
