Time for Three — Tf3 — billed as the first classically trained “garage band” — will perform a wide array of music with elements of classical, country western, gypsy and jazz on Sunday, April 13 at 6:30pm at the Hatboro-Horsham High School, 899 Horsham Road in Horsham.  The trio of Curtis Institute of Music alumni is comprised of violinists Zachary DePue and Nicolas Kendall and bassist Ranaan Meyer.

Due to a power outage that delayed the start of a Philadelphia Orchestra concert in 2003, the three musicians were able to play in near darkness, according to a press statement. DePue, Kendall and Meyer improvised a jam session with tunes such as “Ragtime Annie” and “Orange Blossom Special” for an audience of 5,000 that made the trio an overnight sensation, the statement said.

Admission to the 6:30 presentation on April 13 is $20; there is no charge for students. Seating is general admission.  The event is sponsored by the Hatboro-Horsham Educational Foundation.
